Fitness Magazine Meeting: Mr South Africa Semi-Finalists

Mr South Africa 2012 Semi-Finalists Mohammed Nassuirio, Simphiwe Ncoguthu and myself went through to the "Fitness Magazine Offices" in Randburg to discuss the details for the Look & Feel Good Expo that will be taking place next month.

We will be part of the "Fitness Mag" stand and have been allocated timeslots at 10:30 and 14:30 on the Sunday for focus on us as Semi-Finalists and the competition.

Fitness Mag Visit: Mr South Africa Semi-Finalists at the Expo

With the "Look and Feel Good Expo" event being around the corner and us being part of the Fitness Mag stand, there will be some understanding and prep work that needs to take place prior to the event.
Mohammed Nassuirio,Simphiwe Ncoguthu and myself will represent as Mr South Africa Semi-Finalist at the upcoming event.

We will be going through to the Fitness Magazine offices in Randburg tomorrow to have a discussion and understanding with regards to our roles for the day and how we will be able to market ourselves optimally.

Marketing and Exposure: Vote for Fadeen Mia

It was certainly a busy weekend, two Interviews with local Radio stations and a Marketing campaign that was just great fun!

Benoni played host to a fund raising walk that took place this past Sunday for Charity. My football Team, "Sporting Club of Benoni Independiente" was part of this great event and we assited with a water point for all Walkers.
This produced a great opportunity to get some more exposure for myself and hopefully to get my votes up.
I therefore created some flyers and handed them out to all Walkers that came past the water point, the other players also assisted to ensure that we got as many people as possible.

The East Rand is officially flowing with Fadeen Mia being a MrSA Semi-Finalist and they are keeping close tabs on the competition this year.

Unity FM Interview: The Sports Hour Show

Last night we had the opportunity to share some light and detail about my Football Club, "Sporting Club of Benoni Independiante" on local radio station, Unity FM.

After a great background discussion and update on the clubs performance and goals, I was then given some time to market myself and the Mr South Africa competition to all listening in on the "Sports Hour Show".
There was some great focus added to the Chrysalis Foundation and raising of required funding for the charity. I was also able to give some much needed publicity on the "Chrysalis Football Tournament" that I am hosting for my Charity Event this year.

East Wave Radio: Mr South Africa Semi-Finalist Interview

Another Radio Interview done and completed - This past Sunday I had the opportunity of getting some air time on the "Saaz Aur Awaaz" afternoon show on East Wave Radio with Dj Fazila.
What an exciting and amazing time I had with the different types of questions and comments that were delivered during the afternoon chat. I was given plenty of time to market myself, the Mr South Africa competition and the charity work that I am currently involved in.

"Unity FM" Interview

Another interview secured and booked - I will be broadcasting Live from the Unity fm studios in Actonville on Sunday night from 7pm to 8pm.
I will be included as part of the PR work for "Sporting Clun of Benoni" football club, where I will then get my own slot to share my Mr South Africa detail, market myself and focus on the Chrysalis Foundation.

East Wave Stereo: Live in Studio Interview Booked

Another Radio Station Booked - Eastwave Radio will allow myself a live Interview during there Afternoon show this Sunday. I will once again get an opportunity to share some light on the Mr South Africa competition and market myself as a Mr South Africa 2012 Semi-Finalist.

Here is some detail about East Wave Radio:

Eastwave Radio 92.2fm has established itself in our community as from 1995 and is in its 15th year of offering an exemplary service to the community.

Eastwave Radio is one of over 100 community radio stations in South Africa and one in every ten listeners is tuning into a community radio station.

According to Radio Audio Measurement (RAM), listenership to community Radio is in excess of six million which is a clear indication that community radio has entrenched itself in the media environment in South Africa.

Community radio has played a geat role in fostering the growth of democracy in our country.

Eastwave Radio, though past and present Board of directors, Management, Staff and Presenters have proved, through personal sacrifices and dedicated efforts, their determination to preserve Eastwave Radio in our community.

"Son Koerant" (possible article)

The "Son Koerant", a Cape Town newspaper has shown interest in a few of the Mr South Africa Semi-Finalists, and i have been lucky enough to be one of them.
I have sent through some pics and an interesting Bio of myself which they seem to be impressed with. I now await feedback to see if I am successful and hope that a cool article will be published to assist with my Marketing and Advertising for this phase of the competition.

The Chrysalis Indoor Football Tournament

Flyers are ready to go out for the Chrysalis Indoor Football Fundraiser.
Will be flooding mailboxes and spreading the word in search for 20 teams to partake in the days events!

Chrysalis Fund Raiser (Good to Go!)

After weeks of numerous ideas and intense negotiations, i have finalised the Event for my Chrysalis Fund Raiser.
A huge thanks goes out to the Benoni Action Arena who has given me the go ahead to utelise there venue for an "Indoor Football Tournament" that will play host to local teams all in the name of The Chrysalis Foundation.

We will run group games on all 4 courts that will be followed by quarter, semi and a final games; all made to fulfill a great day of action and fun. The Volley Ball court will also be on hand to help pass the time and add to the fun of the day with food being sold and a licensed bar available. The rugby will be screened on the giant monitors for spectators to enjoy so that we dont miss any of the World Cup action.

Prize money and medals for winners and outstanding players on the day has been added to increase the competition and make it a day worth attending. Marketing and Advertising has already started and the response is great; as we already have teams confirming attendance.

Marketing Campaign is tracking smoothly as I have confirmed a Live Interview with the Local radio station "East Rand Stereo".
I will be live on the morning show at 8:15am to discuss myself and the Mr South Africa 2012 competition.

Look & Feel Good Expo: Marketing

Part of my PR work for this stage of the competition is to get us as a Mr South Africa Brand and Myself out to the public in the most positive way possible.
So why not with the Look& Feel Good Expo that will be taking place in Cape Town and Johannesburg over the next 2 months. I have managed to negotiate with organisors to allow us to be part of this prestigious event as Mr South Africa 2012 Semi fin
This iniative will include all Mr South Africa Semi Finalists that are keen and available to participate:

"Recognising that in today's fast-paced and highly pressured society many South Africans' health and wellness has been compromised by a time-starved lifestyle, organizers Biz Events decided to create an all encompassing event that will reflect the global move towards health, wellness, longevity, positivity, vitality, environmental awareness and sustainability. The expo will reflect the most up to date information on wellness and healthy living. Consumers will be exposed to a collective, indulgent lifestyle experience as they engage actively with exhibitors in a positive and dynamic environment."

So here is some detail:

Below are the dates that the Expo is taking place:

Cape Town: 16^th to 18^th September 2011

Venue: Cape Town International Convention Centre

Johannesburg: 7^th to 9^th October 2011

The Coca Cola Dome in Northriding

We will be part of all required photo shoots for the Expo and be actively involved in the Fitness Magazine stand hence, part of the publicity all the way through.

This is what we will be doing:

• Complementary social networking activations (facebook, twitter, blogging etc);

·         Mr. SA semi finalists will have roaming rights at the expo’s;

·         Mr. SA semi finalists to participate in photo opportunities.

·         Fitness Magazine has also agreed to integrate the finalists in to their Fitness Zone.

We will be on stage at 14h00 in Cape Town on the Saturday at in Johannesburg on Stage at 14h00 on the Sunday (Please come through to support!)

 I will be co-ordinating with attendance to the Cape Town event and will be attending the Johannesburg Expo. I am looking forward to this one, we are sure to get some great publicity and quality group pics once done.

Benoni City Times: Interview

Kicking off my Marketing Campaign with non other than the local Newspaper "Benoni City Times"

This year we will detail the article more specifically on the competition and what I have been up to in the past year.
Pics, Bio and detail all covered adds up to a great article and an interesting read. This time around we will also focus on the Website and getting more exposure through this medium as it allows for better interaction.
