Being an Inspiration and Role Model: Motivation for MRSA 2012

With my many achievements and success so far in my life, I have become accustomed to being a Role-Model to all around me.
One of my main reasons for entering Mr South Africa 2012 is to be a Role Model and inspiration to as many people as possible; and proving to them that anything is achievable if you set your mind to it.
With the exposure that I have received being a Mr South Africa Semi-Finalist, I do have more and more of the youth that approach me with numerous and various questions regarding Diet, Career, Sport and general day to day questions on how to do things better.
“It is truly an amazing feeling being that person who someone else aspires to become one day!”

Chrysalis Football Indoor Tournament Fundraiser: MrSA 2012 Charity Event (Update and Way Forward)

Just wanted to share an update from the "Chrysalis Indoor Football Tournament" that was held 2 weeks ago for Charity. All required money that was made has been proudly deposited into the Chrysalis Foundation account.
The only negative that I need to mention is the fact that I did not hit my personal target amount that I was aiming for. We did make a substantial profit that certainly will benefit the Chrysalis Foundation but my personal goal amount is still short.

The positive behind having my Fundraiser this early is that it gives me the opportunity to still try and achieve that amount over the next few weeks. All Charity money raised needs to be in by the 11th of November and that gives me a couple of weeks to brainstorm a few ideas so that I can raise a little more for Chrysalis.

Keep posted as I will ensure that I hit the required amount that I have set upon myself - NOTE: I do not know how to fail...

The Etana REDevil Run 2011 (In support for Cancer)

The 2011 Etana daREDevil run is once again back up and good to go for this year — that time of year when men from all walks of life slap on red speedos and run fearlessly through the afternoon traffic to help create awareness about cancer, especially types affecting men, like testicular and prostate cancer

This year’s event which is taking place on 4 November 2011, will be bigger and better than ever as we go national with a daREDevil run in Jozi, Cape Town and Durbs!

I have been deciding and debating about it, but I will be putting on the red speedo and doing the run of glory for charity this year with other fellow Mr South Africa 2012 Semi-Finalists.
Should be a good one, keep posted to my blog as we build up to the great event and finally post that "revealing pic!"

Sponsored Charity Possibility with DSTV: Chrysalis Foundation

I am also doing my own bit of SMS Voting these days - For Charity that is...

DSTV is running a competition where your Charity of choice can be chosen for a R 200 000 cash injection, if selected. I have been sending my nomination for the "Chysalis Foundation" and it would be great if you could do the same.

All you have to do is SMS the words "Care Chrysalis Foundation" to 32512 (SMS charged at R1)
Keep on supporting, its for a great cause!

Chrysalis Football Indoor Tournament Fundraiser: Mr South Africa 2012 Charity Event

My Chrysalis Foundation Fundraiser took place this past Saturday at the Benoni Action Arena. I organised an Indoor Football Tournament where entrance fee was charged all in the name of Chrysalis Foundation.

Marketing was intense building up to the the day as I had an amount in mind that I wanted to raise and hence teams needed to attend.

Negative: Unfortunately I did not reach the number that I was looking for as certain teams that confirmed, did not pitch up on the day.
Positive: We still had a great day of fun filled football; and after expenses were paid and prize money given, we still managed to make a substantial profit for the Chrysalis Foundation

Below are some great pics from the day:

We started at 9am with Round Robin Games that were played between all the teams.
Top 2 teams from both groups then went into a Semi-Final and a Winners and Losers Final was played at 2:30 pm, making it a full day of entertaining Football.

Below are pics from our Presentation Ceremony:

Medals for the winners

Team "M.A.N.A.S" - 3rd place and winner of Losers Final

Team "SCBI" - Runner Up

Referee's for the Day
It was an incredible day shared with some great people and certainly a memorable one in my books.
The feeling of giving back by raising funds for a great organisation like the Chrysalis Foundation, surely does makes all the hard work and long hours that were put into making this day a success ... all worth it!

Look & Feel Good Expo: Marketing Opportunity

Apart from the Bokke's loss on Sunday, which I truly am only getting over now; this past Sunday was certainly an amazing day being a Semi-Finalist for the Mr South Africa 2012 competition.
I managed to get us to be part of the Fitness Stand at the Expo and had 2 scheduled slots on Sunday for a "meet and greet" with all attendees that were interested.

Mr South Africa Semi-Finalists Mohammed Nassuirio, Simphiwe Ncoguthu and myself got in on the action and made the most of the opportunity by Marketing the competition and ourselves to all that attended the Expo. We interacted with the crowd throughout the day and were really impressed with the "meet and greet" sessions whereby people were interested in who we were and what the competition was all about.

Being at the Expo also allowed us to meet other Semi-Finalists in the competition. Jacques Fagan and Ivan Venter were part of the USN stand and let me tell you, all the boys truly are great guys.
We got along really well, had a laugh together and actually had to be told to get back to work because of our social nature!

The Expo showcased how we should live a healthy lifestyle, something that we certainly are all about and would like to portray to all viewing the competition.

In conclusion: An amazing day spent in good company while getting great exposure for myself and the Mr South Africa 2012 competition.
A huge thanks goes out to Fitness Mag for hosting and giving us such a great opportunity for exposure at the Look & Feel Good Expo.

Build up to the MRSA 2012 Charity Fundraiser: Chrysalis Indoor Football Tournament

I have been quiet these last few days on the blog but thats only because I have been so busy with prep work towards my Charity Fundraiser; that will be taking place this Saturday.
Marketing has been tripled this week as we have approached all Indoor Arena's in the area and local teams to come through and support the day by entering a team.
Flyers marketing the event have been given out individually to teams, placed on vehicles at the arenas, posted on light poles and notice boards everywhere.
I have certainly gone all out to ensure that the day is an absolute success and that we can make the most in light of the Chrysalis Foundation.

Keep updated as I will post all relevant pics of the detail of the event by next week.

If you are interested in entering a Team - please contact me urgently on fadeen.mia@gmail.com, we have a few more places left as Teams are limited so please call as soon as possible to book your place.
